Fred Baker

Fred Baker the principal of the firm, has many years corporate and commercial legal experience. He established Baker Law in 2006. Fred has a background in corporate, property, commercial and mining law. He holds degrees in law and business.

Young Jun Yoon an associate in the firm, holds an LLB from the University of Auckland, as well as a degree in communications and qualifications in real estate and as a legal executive. Young is fluent in Korean and English. He worked in commerce (mainly import and export) in Auckland and for a major steel company in Korea prior to joining Baker Law.

Peter Zhang

Peter Zhang an associate in the firm, is also a qualified lawyer in China.  He holds LLB degrees from the Northwest University of Political Science and Law and the University of Auckland, as well as a Bachelor of Business Science from Massey University. He worked in the tourism industry when he took his time out in Queenstown. He also had been enjoying his volunteer role at Citizens Advice Bureau for two years while he was doing his law degree at University of Auckland.

Christina Lee has practised as well as taught law since 1989. She graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Singapore and is on her way to completing a Masters in Law from the University of Auckland. Her areas of expertise are Family Law, Civil Litigation and Mediation.  She also runs training workshops in Negotiation and Mediation Skills at Rangitoto College.

Theresa von Molendorff

Yolande Hanekom joined Baker Law in December 2010 as a legal executive, assisting the solicitors with litigation and dispute resolution.  She is a qualified attorney from South Africa, where she ran her own practice with special interest in Family Law  and litigation.  She also worked in the corporate sector, mainly dealing with insurance.

Wenhui Li

Wenhui Li manages the conveyancing department at Baker Law.  Wenhui is from Shenyang in Northeastern China.  She obtained a BA degree from Shenyang Normal University and worked at the university prior to emigrating to New Zealand.

Theresa von Molendorff

Theresa von Molendorff manages the Property Transfer Centre at Baker Law.  She is a qualified legal secretary (NZ legal executive equivalent) and has worked in law firms in South Africa and New Zealand prior to joining Baker Law.  Theresa is originally from Cape Town and is bilingual in English and Afrikaans.

Armand Poolman joined Baker Law in January 2011 as legal executive.  His main focus is management of the conveyancing department in the firm and client care.  Armand was a High Court judge's clerk and practised as a conveyancer and civil litigator in South Africa.  He holds a BProc degree from the University of South Africa.

Wyan Nelson a consultant with the firm, is an attorney from South Africa, where he had his own commercial law practice. Wyan holds a B.Proc degree from UNISA and an LLM (Mercantile Law) from the University of Stellenbosch. Wyan works mostly in immigration law and assists South African clients with home jurisdiction law.  Wyan lives with his family in the Gulf Harbour Country Estate and can assist you in English or Afrikaans.

Andries

Andries du Plessis a consultant with Baker Law, has an PhD in Employment Relations, Employment Legislation and Dispute Resolution Mechanisms.  His MA degree (cum laude) focused on Employment and Industrial Relations and Human Resources Management. He has 28 years experience in Employment Relations, Human Resource Management, dispute resolution and negotiations and represented mainly employers in labour law disputes. He was the managing director of a New Zealand company for two years before joining a leading tertiary institution in Auckland as a Senior Lecturer, in 2003. He lives in Red Beach with his family.
